The Pillsbury Doughboy and the Green Lantern
A Golden Age (1940) Green Lantern Zapping a 1965 Pillsbury Doughboy? Only Mart Nodell could have drawn this image as he had a hand in both creations. The Green Lantern and the Doughboy in the same image? Battling each other? Super Hero versus Food Icon? Extremely rare. Nodell created the Golden Age Green Lantern in 1940 and was the head of the Minneapolis design team (Art Director) at Leo Burnett Agency that created the Doughboy in 1965. This print was signed at a convention in 1996. Sadly, Nodell passed on in 2006.
